Medical Cannabis Authorizations
Dr. Lynch may write medical cannabis authorizations during visits for treatment of approved conditions. This occurs alongside a broader treatment plan recommended during patient appointments.
Qualifying conditions for medical cannabis authorization in Washington State include:
Cancer
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Epilepsy or other seizure disorders
Spasticity disorders
Intractable pain: Pain that is not relieved by standard medical treatments and medications (please be prepared to review this in office).
Glaucoma: Increased intraocular pressure that is not relieved by standard medical treatments.
Crohn's disease: With debilitating symptoms unrelieved by standard treatments.
Hepatitis C: With debilitating nausea or intractable pain unrelieved by standard treatments.
Chronic renal failure requiring hemodialysis.
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - must have documentation of diagnosis from a mental health professional.
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Diseases resulting in:
Nausea
Vomiting
Wasting (cachexia)
Appetite loss
Cramping
Seizures
Muscle spasms
These symptoms must be unrelieved by standard medical treatments.
Terminal illness: With a life expectancy of less than 12 months.
